Preen.me + Julep K-Beauty Double Cleanse

I couldn't be more excited to share with you my best skin ever with Julep's innovative K-beauty double cleanse routine. Jane Park's philosophy follows the central dogma of the cult of the french pharmacy: skip the makeup counter and focus on skincare. Beauty will come from the confidence you have in your own skin. I've always been overwhelmed by the myriad of opinions on which beauty routine is best for your lifestyle and skin type. In due time, I learned that there is no right or wrong routine and it's more of a trial and error journey that one must embark on their own. With that said, you need to start somewhere and I can guarantee that anything you put on your skin is wasted if one does not have a proper daily cleansing regimen.

I was lucky enough to be offered Julep's K-beauty double cleanse routine compliments of Preen.Me. The timing couldn't have been better as I had just returned from a sun-ridden sweat cruise and my face was screaming for a detox. The deadly trial of sunscreen, sweat, and sun will ruin a fresh face if you don't take the necessary precautions to reverse the damage done. Julep's double cleanse is the chicken soup to your cold, starting with the Love your Bare Face Hydrating Cleansing oil, an antioxidant-rich oil that removes the water-insoluble debris such as mascara and sunscreen. The next step ensures a deep cleaning, with the travel-friendly Love your Bare Face Detoxifying Cleansing Stick. After both of these steps of the cleans, exfoliate with the Charcoal Konjac Sponge in order to remove dead skin and keep the nourishing blood flow necessary for cell turnover.

I traveled to Cuba and Ponte Vedra beach with my cleanse routine and I was extremely impressed with how everything stayed intact. I had no leaks or cracks in my products as they are surprisingly durable for travel, and the suction-cup hook that came with the Konjac sponge (image below) allowed for proper drying and storage of the sponge. I saw a marked improvement in the inflammation and stress on my skin (probably due to travel and change of climate) with use of these products, both AM and PM. I get many breakouts along my jawline and I'm usually afraid to exfoliate and possibly aggravate a breakout. The Konjac sponge was gentle enough to use on my breakouts and did not worsen them. Some companies claim that the sponge has antibacterial properties but it is not self-cleaning, and like everything we use directly on our faces, it has a self-life and guidelines for proper use. The Love Your Bare Face Hydrating Cleansing Oil felt like a moisturizing step embedded into a cleanser. I can keep gushing about how much I liked it, but overall it worked very well with my sensitive skin and I would strongly recommend it.

Cheers to Julep + Preen.Me for this special opportunity. I look forward to emptying this containers.

Peace, Love and Detox
