Lancome x Influenster
I recently received a complimentary box of Lancome beauty products via Influenster for review. I started immediately using the Visionnaire Crescendo dual-phased leave-on night peel, because it is a 28 day program for your skin inspired by fitness interval training. In Phase 1, aka, the first fourteen nights, you are working to smooth and even your complexion with a serum containing 5% Quinoa Husk & Fruit Acids . The quinoa husk is one of the new "it" products on the beauty scene because it contains lysine, a building block in the synthesis of elastin and collagen, which unfortunately can not be created by the body (thanks body). As someone, who has very sensitive and acne prone skin, I needed to inform myself about whether this peel would disrupt the carefully achieved balance I maintained with my obsessive skin routine. I was surprised to find that, among it's other benefits, quinoa reduces sebum production, and consequently, the acne that comes with it. I was thrilled at this point and ready to begin my skin intervals with full confidence!
In phase 2 of the skin interval program is fourteen nights of reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots with 10% Glycolic Acid and Salicyclic Acid. I recently started phase 2 and I was afraid it would be a lot more intense, but so far I haven't had any adverse reactions or major breakouts, thank goodness gracious. In order to continue my current skin care routine, I wash my face and hands thoroughly and apply the mask at night before my serum. To keep from burning my skin in the hot Florida sun, I wake up and slather my face with the the Bienfait Superfluid SPF 50, I also received compliments of Influenster. In the Sunshine State, I've used many sunscreens on my face that make me look like a grease-fest and slosh around all my makeup, but this little buddy hasn't let me down. It's oil-free and will absorb into your skin almost immediately, just remember to shake the bottle well prior to application.
Who is the night peel good for?
All skins types. Whether you are normal, dry, oily, or combination, the goal of this peel is to give you that 9-hours of sleep, "Wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy..." glow.
Flamingos!
We love them so much! But, what if I told you you can wear them on your lips?
This would probably be extremely uncomfortable for both the flamingo and you, but fear not... I've assembled a worthy compromise! The Matte Shaker by Lancome comes in a nifty liquid lipstick called Pink Powder (378). I propose, we make our own reality and re-name it "Liquid Flamingos," and if that doesn't provoke satisfying imagery then try "Flam Girl" on for size...Still don't like it? Heck, you can call it whatever you like. All I know is that it is perfect. I apologize in advance because you will be seeing me wear it over and over and over again via my many social media outlets. I'm so friggin obsessed with this iconic, summer party, feel good, good time color and I'm over the hills that we finally have a matte lipstick that won't turn our precious bebe pout into Google images for chapped lips.
Never forget, pores are the enemy. Love, Geo
